Fortis signs certification contract
Fortis Wind Energy signed a contract with Intertek for the certification of the Montana and the Alize.
In the Husum small wind exhibition mid March there was an overwhelming volume of new small wind turbines. New products in the market with claims on energy production that are unrealistic.
These high energy claims, which in the end almost never seems to be realised, are a problem in the market because they give small wind energy a bad reputation.
This is why Fortis Wind energy is in favour of certification of small wind turbines. Certification on safety, energy yield and noise.
We have signed a contract with Intertek to certify our Montana and Alize for the British MCS, The international IEC, the Canadian CAN/CSA and the American AWEA standard. The test will be done in the state of New York, and guided by Fortis US.
