Water purification with wind energy

For remote locations where clean drinking water is a problem, we developed a container with a reverse osmose water purification system.

More about this turbine

Just like energy, clean drinking water is vital to humen development. But getting acces to it is not always as easy as it seams. Plenty of countries have no clean drinking water and people have to use poluted or walk long distances to get acced of clean water.

With this newly developed container it is possibe to purify 2-3000 liters of waters per day, based on a 5 m/s average wind speed. The wind energy is concerted into electricity by the wind turbine, the electricity is stored in a battery bank or directly used to feed the reverse osmose installation.

The 10 feet container holds all the equipmen for the transport, and is used on locaton to protect the installation and water storage.

In colaboration with Hatenboer-Water, the Technical University Delft and De Nieuwe Weme this project was developed.
